Sweet Truthhttp://berlintheatre.ticketleap.com/sweet-truth/dates/Jun-06-2013_at_0730PM2013-06-06T19:30:00-05:002013-06-06T21:30:00-05:00This is a special presentation, produced by Talking Horse, that will run June 6-9 for four performances. It's the world premiere of a script by Minneapolis playwright Kristine Holmgren. Ms. Holmgren will be in Columbia for the production run, and we will have playwright talkbacks after each performance. Here is the storyline: Bernice Fairfax is too-long divorced, lonely and about to turn fifty. Her adorable little cupcake shop is faltering, her fourteen-year-old daughter is on a piercing binge and the only men Bernice meets are peculiar. Will a visit from her born-again-Druid-Priestess mother change anything? SWEET TRUTH invites to laugh at the important connections between us and to honor the miraculous ways in which we are saved by love.
Directed by Ed Hanson, and featuring Nora Dietzel, Dana Bocke, Gabrielle Schust, Richard Buffington, Nancy Franklin, and Craig Yager. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors 65+ and students. All four performances will begin at 7:30pm, with the house opening at 7:00, at the Berlin Theatre, 220 North Tenth Street in downtown Columbia.
